trauma

about

We are the generation

with the tools, knowledge, and resilience to rewrite

the story for ourselves and our children

My story began in pain—experiencing sexual abuse by my father until I was 11. For years, I carried that pain without even understanding I was in pain. When I became a teenager and in my early adult life that pain burst out into a rage and fits of nervous energy.

“But I’ve learned that while healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, it is absolutely possible”

At 27, I finally found the courage to start my healing journey. I dove into therapy—psychotherapy, sex therapy, and even body-based treatments like psychomotor physiotherapy, EQ therapy, and yoga. Along the way, I realized something crucial: the bond between a therapist and client is the key to unlocking self-acceptance. A therapist who has done their own healing can hold space for yours.

Trauma Is Everywhere

  • Trauma is like an invisible storm—it touches everyone. You might encounter it in your family, your workplace, or even with strangers.

  • Many of us unknowingly carry the emotional scars of past generations

  • The cost of untreated trauma isn’t just emotional—it’s economic too. And the cost of treating trauma is enormous, all over the world!

Bending the Cycle: It’s Time to Take Action

Looking back, I wonder how my life might’ve been different if someone had spoken about abuse when I was young. Could I have reached out for help sooner? Could my father have received the support he needed to stop the cycle?

Breaking free from the trauma cycle requires courage, and I believe it's possible to do so.
I’ve learned that my intense emotional reactions aren’t my fault—they’re my nervous system’s way of trying to protect me. But now that I’m safe, I have a chance to move forward.

  • Talk to someone — a friend, a therapist, or a support group
